PMA Welcomes Vanessa ShelorJuly 2022
PMA is pleased to welcome Vanessa Shelor to Charlotte Bilingual Preschool (CltBP) as the new Chief Advancement Officer. Executive Director Banu Valladares announced her arrival on July 11th saying "Vanessa comes to Charlotte Bilingual Preschool with an impressive nonprofit advancement career and we are delighted to have her join our team".
"We were honored to partner with Charlotte Bilingual Preschool through our Search Advisory services to help them find a talented nonprofit leader like Vanessa," noted PMA President Patton McDowell. She will support the important work accomplished at CltBP, the only 5-star licensed dual language preschool in North Carolina, where two-generation programing and comprehensive on-site services empower families with the tools they need to sustain their children's education and remove barriers allowing for their long-term success.
"I am thrilled Vanessa is joining the Charlotte Bilingual Preschool Stewardship Team; bringing her experience, talent and passion to the role of Chief Advancement Officer," said Valladares. As a member of the executive team, the CAO works collaboratively with team members to establish and execute a plan for significant growth. Key areas of focus include the continued development and strengthening of strong and meaningful relationships, engage donors and the public in CltBP's work, and inspire advocacy of CltBP's early education model.
